Individual Artwork - Worn Clothes and Red Bricks

“weight upon weight upon weight“ weaves together the everyday struggling relationship between external pressures and internal resilience. Portraying a visual narrative where bricks symbolize the burdens we carry, stacked upon fabric blocks crafted from personal t-shirts, representing the essence of self. Despite the looming weight of the bricks, the fabric blocks stand as steadfast cornerstones, reflecting the enduring strength found within. Ultimately, "weight upon weight" serves as a meditation on the power of the self to rise above challenges and cultivate pathways towards wholeness and growth.

Emotional Dumping

Emotional Dumpling, offers a profound exploration of the intricate emotional dynamics that unfold in our daily lives, particularly the often-overlooked impact of sharing negative emotions. In today’s fast-paced society, many turn to “talking it out” as a way to cope with stress, but this seemingly innocuous act can it have significant, sometimes unseen consequences. Through immersive and thought-provoking works, we invite the audience to reflect on the delicate balance between expressing and absorbing emotional burdens. The installation delves into the psychological toll on both the “venter” - the one who shares - and the “listener” - the one who receives.

This exhibition doesn’t just depict the process of venting; it challenges visitors to consider the unseen costs of unfiltered emotional release and to question the effects it has on our relationships and mental well-being. By engaging with this multifaceted installation, viewers are encouraged to contemplate the nuanced of nature of interpersonal communication and the lasting impacts of emotional exchanges. Emotional Dumping is not just an exhibition - it’s a conversation starter, a mirror to our modern coping mech
